Biography
As a native New Yorker, Daniel’s first exposure to architecture was growing up amidst the urban blight of Spanish Harlem. His lifelong desire has been to foster urban renewal that is both visionary andaffordable.
As Principal of DMA Architecture & Design, LLC Rev. Martinez has over 35 years of project management experience and has held leadership positions in both the private and not-for-profit sectors
including over 20 years as a Project Architect/Manager specializing in management of total project delivery for a variety of clientele including master planning, feasibility studies and condition assessments,
forensic architecture, project design, interior design, administration, consultant coordination, construction document preparation and specification writing.
Daniel holds a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree and is licensed to practice in Florida, New Jersey, New York, and Texas. He began his career as an intern in a naval architecture-engineering firm and preparing documents for loft legalization for one of his professors.
Daniel’s early career included a position in Great Britain, where he worked as an architect’s assistant on a 10-unit multi-family housing project in Ipswich, focusing on construction administration.
He has extensive national as well as international experience in architectural design, rehabilitation and capital improvement of governmental, educational, and hi-end residential, historic preservation and commercial projects. Pastor Martinez utilizes sustainable principles on projects achieving varying LEED certification. He is an international keynote speaker at conferences.
His management duties include proposal and contract preparation, project procurement, financial administration. His project management duties include preparing work breakdowns, supervision, scheduling, code analysis, cost estimates, construction document preparation, AutoCAD training, financial reports, client relations and communications and provides expert witness services.
